Description

On a work trip to Arizona, my boyfriend and I ended up with a day off. I found out we could rent kayaks and paddle the Salt River, sharing the company of wild horses. This ended up being such an amazing impromptu adventure! I took this photo from my kayak with my paddle across my lap. The current kept us moving at all times so that was an added challenge to line ourselves up for some amazing photographic moments of these horses, while also staying out of their way. At times they were fully submerging their heads into the water to pull up grasses to eat. I was blown away by the scenery of the salt river horses against a desert backdrop.
